All participants who register before the deadline and are accepted into the contest will receive a free day pass to HeroFest, as well as 5 discount coupons (50% off) for discounted day passes, which are welcome to be shared with others.
Cosplay Contest Rules

Solo Performance Contest
- Only the on-stage performance will be judged.
- Cosplays do not need to be self-made.
- No prejudging
- No groups allowed
- Stage time is a maximum of 2 minutes. For the show, a reference image as well as a custom background image or video including sound/music must be submitted.
Group Performance Contest
- Only the on-stage performance will be judged.
- Cosplays do not need to be self-made.
- No prejudging
- Groups of 2β5 people
- Stage time is a maximum of 2β3 minutes. For the show, a reference image as well as a custom background image or video including sound/music must be submitted.
Main Contest
- This contest is aimed at experienced cosplayers.
- Only self-made cosplays are allowed. At least 80% of the cosplay must be made by the participant.
- Only officially licensed characters with clear reference images are permitted.
- No groups allowed
- The cosplay must be worn by the creator. Using a model is not allowed.
- Stage time is a maximum of 2 minutes. For the show, a reference image as well as a custom background image or video including sound/music must be submitted.
Qualification Polymanga Swiss Cosplay League
- Only self-made cosplays are allowed. At least 80% of the cosplay must be made by the participant.
- Only officially licensed characters with clear reference images are permitted.
- No groups allowed
- The cosplay must be worn by the creator. Using a model is not allowed.
- Only cosplayers residing in Switzerland are eligible for the Polymanga Swiss Cosplay League qualification.
- The minimum age requirement is 18 years.
- Stage time is a maximum of 2 minutes. For the show, a reference image as well as a custom background image or video including sound/music must be submitted.
Cosplay Contest
- Only self-made cosplay entries, with clear reference images. Original creations are allowed!
- At least 60% of the cosplay must be made by yourself.
- No group entries
- The cosplay must be worn by yourself; using a model is not allowed.
- Stage time is limited to a maximum of 2 minutes.
Cosplay Contest Prizes
Solo & Group Performance Contest: Non-Cash Prizes
Main Contest:
- Best Armor: CHF 450.-
- Best Needlework: CHF 450.-
- Best Performance: CHF 450.-
- Best In Show: CHF 450.-
Qualification Polymanga Swiss Cosplay League: The winner will represent HeroFest in the final at Polymanga 2027. Two weekend tickets, travel to Polymanga, as well as hotel and catering for the cosplayer will be covered. One accompanying person may stay in the same hotel room but must cover their own travel expenses.
Cosplay Contest:
- 1st place: CHF 150.-
- 2nd place: CHF 100.-
- 3rd place: CHF 50.-
All cosplayers are welcome!
